Stowarzyszenie Otwarte Drzwi
Otwarte Drzwi counteracts social exclusion in the Praga district of Warsaw by addressing problems such as high unemployment, criminal activity, and the lack of healthy behavior models. Its beneficiaries include children and teenagers from dysfunctional backgrounds, the mentally disabled, persons experiencing homelessness, the unemployed, and those affected by poverty.
The activities of Otwarte Drzwi include providing rehabilitation, social support and housing to people with intellectual disabilities, securing shelter and training for people experiencing homelessness, and preparing residents for independent living. They engage with children and youth, offering daycare center support to prevent challenging behaviors, foster interests, and enhance social skills through educational and playful activities. They run the Red Bicycle Kitchen – a social enterprise that offers food, rehabilitation, re-socialization, and education.
