Our model
The goal of Valores is to provide direct support to a select portfolio of social organizations that possess the ambition and capability to scale up and maximize their social impact. The support offered is dedicated to enhancing the organization’s ability to implement its social mission. Valores targets social organizations that have been operational for several years, have proven models of work, and are encountering critical growth barriers in their organizational and/or financial capacity.
Participation in Valores requires prior involvement in the Social Business Accelerator (SBA), a PSIK mentoring program conducted in partnership with Valores. https://psik.org.pl/en/venture-philanthropy
Valores collaborates with each social organization for three years. At the outset, Valores works with the organization’s leadership and SBA mentor to identify critical challenges and areas needing support. Then, together, they establish short- and long-term goals, address critical challenges, and mobilize expert support as needed.
Valores’ program is structured around three pillars.
1. Financial support
Tailored yet flexible financial support that addresses the critical needs of the portfolio organizations, typically in the form of grants, which cannot be funded from other sources.
3. Impact measurement and management
Valores collaborates with portfolio organizations to design and implement social impact measurement tools. The results are then integrated into managing their programs to achieve maximum impact.
2. Professional non-financial support
Pro bono support from the Valores executive team, private equity mentors, and professional advisors. This support helps portfolio organizations set strategic goals, improve management and operations, strengthen teams, and scale their reach and impact.
